We tried a couple of places that were recommended on the internet.
Starting from the nicest to satisfactory:
T&K Seafood Restaurant: Relatively cheap and fresh seafood. China town in my opinion has the best food compared to the city area. It was a pity that we only had one stomach each, thus we could not sample a greater variety of food. I was so tempted to just bunk with the table of Singaporeans just so we could enjoy more food. After dinner we had fresh pomegranate juice which is nothing like the bottled pomegranate juice that can be found in the supermarkets. As you walk down the stretch in Chinatown you can sample lots of street food such as bird's nest, mango sticky rice, shark's fin soup etc. If I came to BKK just to eat, I would probably just stay in Chinatown.
Tom Yum Soup! The reason why I crave for Thailand:D
Crab glass noodle
Went all out on this meal. Couldn't finish it:(
Tian Song Paed Yang: The duck rice was satisfactory I guess. The satay is a little different from Singapore satay like the smokiness of the satay is more salient compared to Singapore's. Taste quite nice together with the peanut sauce. Wanted to try the toast as it looked so bite-worthy, but we were full. Not very accessible, worth a visit if you are going to the grand palace. It quite near there. We originally wanted to go to Thip Samai Restaurant, but it only opens at 5pm-_-ii. Food is pretty cheap though, they had an English menu.

Quite a selection of cocktails if you fancy a cup
Pineapple rice
Kaiton Pratunam Chicken Rice: The texture of the chicken is just nice, not too hard or raw. However, I still prefer my chicken rice with our chilli sauce. Must order a big bowl of soup, coz it tastes awesome. Its like pepper chicken soup. Really cheap.
Other food we tried were snacks. Not to be missed was chatuchak coconut ice cream between section 1 and 2. Awesome after a hot day in the market, and there is free coconut juice. This has ignited my new found love for coconuts. Mango Tango had the nicest mangoes, as it was so sweet. The sticky rice and the other stuff were on just alright. Pretty expensive and service is bad. Expect to queue.
Platinum food court should just be skipped as food as expensive as in Singapore. Also, it is not very nice. Might as well have A&W root beer float or curly fries to suppress the hunger.
BKK is awesome coz it has Mister doughnut! I love how chewy the doughnuts are. Gonna miss it until the next time:( Wanted to tabao KrispyKreme back, but we didn't pass by any.
Why so cute?
There's so much food we didn't get to try. If there's one thing I love BKK for, it's for the food. I gained 1.5kg a day. Thank god for SG. SG is a slimming centre for me. The first day I returned to SG I lost at least 1 kg. Not sure if it is a good or bad thing. The next time I go to BKK, it will be in a group, so we can eat more food:D
